This ancestral experience was awesome! The itinerary was authentic and our relatives were inviting all the time in all situations. Additionally, the leadership team on this tour were amazingly competent and engaging. Just about every minute, everyday, was utterly fascinating! This was a memorable group experience that I will treasure forever!

This journey was truly life-changing. The care, organization, and intention behind every detail made the experience feel both seamless and deeply meaningful. Being able to return to my ancestral homeland (Cameroon) and take part in a renaming ceremony is something I will carry with me forever. I’m incredibly grateful to the entire team for creating such a powerful and respectful space for reconnection. If you are considering this journey, I can honestly say it is an experience like no other.

Our guides for the trip in Ghana was super friendly and knowledgeable about the places we visited. They were always there when needed without being intrusive and helped to make our trip run smoothly from the time we entered the airport. The food was great and the places we visited were a wonderful introduction to Ghanaian culture. Accommodations were also good. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

I had a great time on this trip! Diallo is the absolute best host. His friendly, warm, and engaging sense of humor was everything as well as his attentiveness. He performed the dedication to me during the naming ceremony. It was really touching because he recalled an earlier conversation we had, and he touched on an emotional experience in my life; the trip was initially meant to be a "spiritual legacy" trip for my sister and I in honor of our mom to celebrate her heavenly birthday as we connected with our ancestry. Unfortunately, my sister had to cancel because of an illness but my husband took her place. Diallo included this in the naming ceremony, and it brought me to tears. Diallo also arranged a birthday cake celebration for my husband! The hospitality team was so efficient and treated us like royalty. Annabelle, the hospitality business owner, was such an amazing businesswoman, and not only did we bond so closely but I was proud to watch and enjoy her professionalism, care, and warmth. One of her team members, Eva, became my "Igbo daughter" and we continue to have a close relationship. Onos was such a gentleman and Tosin was so much fun and took great pics. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know every single one of my fellow travelers who made the trip to claim their ancestral home. The itinerary was packed with cultural connections at museums, cultural centers, Point of No Return, markets, and the delicious food. Meeting so many of my fellow Igbo people at every location and learning so much about the history of Nigeria from the hospitality team of tour guides and our photographer meant so much. It was also a highlight witnessing my African people, especially my sisters, in positions of power and meeting them in their official offices as a request was made by Dr. Gina Paige to provide us with our needed identity as a Nigerian citizen. -Susan Grant, 5/26/25
